Introduction
We are Joshua and Rebecca, a couple from Germany.
Independently of each other, we have always had the desire to travel and discover and get to know unknown countries and cultures. So it quickly became clear to us that we wanted to do more with this desire. We have now been traveling since March 2024 and every day is a new adventure.

The decision
After being together for over 7 years and always waiting for the “right” time, we finally decided in mid-2023 to get down to business and turn our dream into reality.
At the time, we were both living in Frankfurt and working there full-time. Joshua was even completing his Master’s degree at the same time.
So that meant starting to plan and prepare.
We quit our jobs and apartment in November and thought we still had plenty of time until March. At that point, we had no idea where we wanted to start, but we knew that we needed something with sun, beach and sea after the very wet and icy winter in Germany.
We started to do a lot of research on where we wanted to start, what we wanted to see on the way and what we still needed to do and buy. We drew up an Excel list of places, sights and activities for each country. We always kept in mind that it would unfortunately not be as easy for us as all the travel bloggers and backpackers reported from their point of view, as Rebecca has type 1 diabetes and is insulin-dependent.
At the end of 2023, we were shown a cheap flight to the Philippines and thought, why not? Then we were already a lot closer to our other destinations and simply booked. And by booking the flight, we finally had our start date and could hardly wait.
Aim of the website

This website is primarily for us, our family and friends, but also for all like-minded people.
What will set us apart from most people is the content on type 1 diabetes and how people cope with it in other countries, how it is handled and the medical care provided by the necessary medication.
We also want to show that even with an illness like this, nothing is impossible and all it takes is a little courage and self-confidence.
Most people travel as long as the money lasts, we travel as long as the medication lasts (and the money too, of course ;-).
